BEFORE & AFTERCARE
FOR SEMI-PERMANENT COSMETIC TATTOO

BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT;

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • SPMU treatment cannot be done whilst pregnant, breastfeeding or during your period.

  • No alcohol, caffeine, drug and medicines containing blood thinner ingredients 48 hours before the procedure.

  • If you’re having brows done, make sure they are not tinted as this makes it harder for our technician to see your true eyebrow hair.

  • Botox should be performed 3 weeks prior to or 3 weeks after the procedure.

  • Microblading is not recommended for people with oily skin. If you have large pores or oily/very oily skin, your results will appear softer/solid or powdered looking.

  • If you are on multiple medications OR having diseases OR any kind of allergies, please check with your doctor before we can carry out the safe procedure.

  • It’s recommended to exfoliate and moisturise the eyebrows/lips at home 2-3 days before the treatment day. This will help to soften the skin and help the colour penetrate into the skin easily.

  • If you have cold sore and are prone to herpes (lip tattoo), you need to take medicine 5-10 days before coming to the treatment. Please check with your doctor/pharmacist for the medicine.

INFORMATION

The SPMU technician will inform client in detail about the treatment using suitable technique and is obligated to perform the treatment in strict compliance with all hygiene and health protection methods.

Le Beauty SPMU technician does not touch-up on others’ work, and old tattoos will be treated as a new treatment.
Client needs to send pictures of their old tattoos for consideration of treatment method. Microblading cannot be performed on dark tattooed eyebrows unless an old tattoo is removed or faded until very light.

The client consents the technician to do SPMU treatment on his/her body and is aware of specific risks of the treatment. The following risks are specifically explained to the client:

  • During the treatment, despite the staff expertise and all the precautionary measures, the injury is possible.

  • Despite the application of the most advanced and the top quality pigments, allergic reaction is possible but rare. The client is informed about this and he/she assumes liability. A patch test can be done 48h prior to the treatment upon customer’s requirement to test allergy ($50 fee applied).

  • During and after the treatment, temporary swelling, redness and/or itching may occur. Experience tells us that these symptoms are temporary.

  • Depending on the skin structure and natural pigment, small scabs may occur and colour intensity may change. The fresh result before finally healing are up to 30-40% darker and 10-15% thicker. With microblading treatment, some drawn hairs might be lost after the first session.

  • The shape is determined according to the face proportions. Symmetry is determined digitally, with closed eyes because of the negative impact of facial expression.

  • The pigment is absorbed differently due to differences in the skin quality, thus there is no warranty for the treatment success.

  • Depending on the skin structure it should be noted that change in the color intensity is possible and that one or more additional treatments will be required.

  • The minimum or maximum duration of SPMU treatment cannot be determined with certainty, nor can the warranty be given on performed treatment.

  • The touch-up session is done within 4-6 weeks for eyebrows and eyeliners, and 8 weeks for lips. For oily and pigmented skin it is necessary to perform more corrections.

  • SPMU always leads to skin injury. Therefore, it is important to carefully and gently nurture your skin after the treatment to allow healing without complications. Inadequate care in healing phase of the skin can lead to poor results and the Artist cannot be liable for it.

  • The healing process takes 3-7 days and is different with each client. It is important to realize that a colour boost every (no prior to) 12-18 months is necessary to maintain the fresh appearance. Fading WILL happen after each procedure. We do not have control over your body’s healing process.

BEFORE SPMU

COSMETIC TATTOO AFTERCARE;

WHAT TO EXPECT
It’s normal to experience tenderness around the treatment area, for the first few days after treatment. The colour will look around 50% darker at first, and you’ll soon notice the area start to scab. It should take between 7-10 days for the color to scab off completely - and during this process the colour will start to lighten and soften. The final colour result will be visible after 28 days.

THE FIRST 24HOURS
In first 24 hours after the treatment, please rinse and clean the area with warm, clean water, or baby wipes. Apply a thin layer of Skin Candy, or Vaseline to the area 3-5 times per day.

THE FIRST WEEK
In the 7 days after your treatment, apply Skin candy or Vaseline to the treatment area 3-5 times per day.

THINGS TO AVOID
X  Avoid using makeup on the treated area
X Avoid sunbathing, steam rooms or sauna’s
X Once a scab forms, do not pick the area - it will fall off naturally
X Swimming in public pool
X Heavy exercise that causes sweating

FOR 30 DAYS AFTER TREATMENT
X  Avoid laser treatment over the treated area (Fraxel laser, IPL), because they can destroy the pigment and cause burns.
X The use of antibiotics and hormonal therapy can lead to a faster fading. Always protect the treatment area from the sun.

The healed colour will be 40% less dark. If you have microbladed brows, microblading strokes will be 10% to 15% shorter after 4 to 6 weeks. It is why we need the touch-up session.
